After lockdown, it’s almost 1 year since all movie theatres are closed. Lot of movies got released on OTT. but after one year here is a treat for all of you. Bollywood is back with a good movie that is “Mumbai Saga”. One of the best movies released post COVID.

Story Line

John Abrahams character as Amartya Rao and Amol Guptes as Giatonde is appreciable . John became a gangster with the help of Suniel Shetty and Mahesh Manjrekar.  John’s intention was clear that he wanted to rule Mumbai, he creates his own ilaka and starts his underworld activities from there. Prateik Babbar played the role of Arjun( John’s younger brother).  John tries to keep his brother away from the underworld but once he gets attacked by Gaitonde Arjun enters the underworld. Kajal Aggarwal Played the role of John’s wife, and most importantly you will love Emraan Hashmi who played the role as Vijay Savarkar, a fearless police officer. Overall movie is based on Mumbai Underworld, we saw similar movies in past such as Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, Shootout at Wadala and so on. This movie also falls in the same category. Storyline is not good. We saw similar ones in the past. Total movies is John’s show, Emran, Kajal and Prateik babbar’s screen time is very less still they gave justification to their characters.

Sanjay Gupta’s direction is good and if it comes to cinematography Shikhar Bhatnagar could have done better. Dialogues are very good. Background Score from Amar Mohile is also very good. Last but not least Yo Yo Honey Singh & Payal Dev’s song shor machega song is superb.

Watch or Not?

This movie is one time watchable.

If you are a fan of John Abraham then this movie is a treat for you. You will love his action, dialogues & his attitude as Amartya Rao.
